Thrust ball bearing is a type of rolling bearing specifically designed to withstand axial loads (in the direction parallel to the axis). It consists of a disc-shaped housing with ball grooves and is divided into two types: the flat base seat type and the self-aligning spherical seat type. It is composed of the shaft ring, seat ring, steel balls, and cage, and is designed in a separate structure. It can withstand either single or double axial loads, but cannot withstand radial loads. The groove of the raceway is in a spherical shape, and the axial positioning is achieved by the rolling of the rolling elements (steel balls) within the groove.
